Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Alex Beane began his musical career singing in the choir at the Episcopal Church. The end of junior year at Episcopal School of Dallas marked Alex’s decision to pursue music at the next level, and he began vocal training with Debra Scroggins that summer for college auditions. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance, with Songwriting and Arts Entrepreneurship Minors at Southern Methodist University. He has worked with Robyn Flatt at Dallas Children’s Theater on a number of performances including Velveteen Rabbit, Little House on the Prairie, and Honus and Me. After playing the lead role in Grease his senior year, Alex has stayed involved at the Episcopal School of Dallas by participating in various alumni musicals – Urinetown, Putnam County Spelling Bee, and backstage work on Little Shop of Horrors. He has previous teaching experience through Specialty Tutors, and he is looking forward to applying that knowledge and helping his students reach their maximum musical potential.
