Park Cities School of Music brings you another brand new summer camp with our extremely talented instructor Richmond Punch! The Young Strings Camp for String Champs is open to ages 7 to 14 and will take place June 17-21. The camp is open to violinists, violists, and cellists and is designed to help these students work together to create music! While soloist music allows students to express themselves and gain confidence in performance, playing in groups can teach them a lot about musical communication and theory as well as help them improve as individual players.
Richmond Punch is a violin virtuoso who grew up in our very own city of Dallas, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. He went on to earn Master’s Degrees in Music from both Juilliard School of Music and Yale University. Mr. Punch plays everything from classical music to jazz, hip hop, and gospel.
During this camp, instrumentalists will be able to perform in front of one another and end the experience with an Ensemble Concert for parents, friends, and family!
We look forward to students joining us for this amazing opportunity. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (214) 455-1477 for more information on this camp or the plethora of others we have available!
