Hansol Kim is a pianist and educator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education and her master’s degree in Piano Performance from Chonnam National University in South Korea, and is currently pursuing a Performer’s Diploma in Piano Performance at Southern Methodist University.

She has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist and has received recognition in several competitions. Her background in both education and performance shapes how she approaches teaching and music-making.

In her teaching, Hansol hopes that students will build a long-lasting relationship with music and grow as individuals through that process. Drawing from her own experience, she sees music as more than notes and rhythms; it is a way to develop maturity, self-reflection, and a deeper understanding of oneself. Rather than simply teaching, she hopes to walk alongside students in that journey, supporting them as they learn to express what they care about through music and carry that relationship with them over time.
