Baby Broadway:
Baby Broadway (stage presence) is designed to introduce students to the foundational elements of musical theatre. Students will learn basic music theory, vocal performance, broadway dance, acting, and choreography. The class will incorporate learning stage presence and performance. Throughout the semester, the students will be learning and preparing one musical piece for their Holiday or Spring production. We push students to explore their emotions while developing different characters, personalities and scenarios. Students learn to use their imagination beyond their comfort zone and mature their onstage presence through practice. They will learn to become comfortable with the stage and emerge with a greater confidence!
Center Stage:
Center Stage (developing confidence) is designed to introduce students to the foundational elements of musical theatre as well as developing a deeper knowledge of theatre. Students will learn basic music theory, scales, vocal performance, broadway dance, acting, and choreography. The class will incorporate learning stage presence and performance. Throughout the semester, the students will be learning and preparing one musical piece for their Holiday or Spring production. We push students to explore their emotions while developing different characters, personalities and scenarios. Students learn to use their imagination beyond their comfort zone and mature their onstage presence through practice! Throughout the semester, they will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of different characters through a variety of scripts and musical numbers. Students will emerge from this class with greater confidence than ever before!
Triple Threat:
Triple Threat (singing, dancing and acting) is designed to introduce students to the foundational elements of musical theatre as well as developing a deeper knowledge of theatre. Students will learn basic music theory, scales, vocal performance, broadway dance, acting, and choreography. The class will incorporate learning stage presence and performance. Throughout the semester, the students will be learning and preparing one musical piece for their Holiday or Spring production. Musical Theatre Class Uniform for ALL Levels:
Ladies: Colored leotard or fitted athletic shirt, dance/athletic shorts or leggings and black jazz shoes.
Gentlemen: Fitted or athletic shirt, dance/athletic shorts or pants and black jazz shoes.
