29 Years on Musical Journey

I am a solo pianist, a collaborative pianist. I have been on this musical journey for 29 years. Like other pianists, I won several prizes and performed a lot. The most unforgettable experience is performing with Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra; that moment made me decide I want to be a real musician. I like teaching students and performing with other musicians because I believe music is powerful, music is magical, and music is a universal language that connects everyone globally; music has healing power. People know me as a professional pianist. Here is what most people don’t know about me: I always think having a healthy mindset and body will optimize our performances. I am always interested in the science behind music, the relationships and effects between medicine and music.

My long-term goal for my students is to become independent and foster an enjoyment for music that lasts a lifetime. In order to achieve this goal, there are many milestone goals along the way: a solid foundation in music theory, good sight-reading and technical skills, good listening and problem-solving skills. As students progress, I will focus on artistry and performance skills, I hope my students develop a deep appreciation for the music of great composers as we will explore different styles of piano literature.
