Music education is vitally important and helpful in the development of babies, toddlers, and young children. Studies have shown that exposing children to music, as early as possible, helps to build imagination, language development, as well as social and emotional awareness. Music even helps to build new neurological pathways in the brains of young children. We at Park Cities School of Music in Dallas, TX realize this and provide a number of opportunities for this in our area.
Our Baby Music And Me classes provide fun and bonding time for our very youngest students and their parents. In this class, babies as young as 6 months old will have the opportunities to explore instruments, learn rhythms that will help with coordination and motor skills, movement, and the classroom singing will encourage language development. All of the teachers at Park Cities School of Music in Dallas, TX are highly trained music educators and performers who are more than qualified to lead each class.
Instrument Explorers is the next level of music education that we provide. This class is especially beneficial for toddlers and young kids who are curious about music but may not have thought of where to begin. This class teaches them about the different instrument families, parts of each instrument, basic music theory concepts taught on their level of understanding, and they even get the chance to play on real orchestra and band instruments. This class will awaken their curiosity and help them find out which instrument they are most interested in learning more in depth.
The previous two classes are the perfect lead in to private lessons. We have a very diverse faculty at Park Cities School of Music in Dallas, TX who are experts on any instrument that would be of interest to you and your child. Once you have identified the instrument that beat suits the personality of your child, we can connect you with a teacher that will be the best fit for you and your schedule. I look forward to seeing you this year in class!
