Park Cities School of Music Master Teacher, Soprano Eboneé Jewel Davis, offers a wealth of education and experience to music students enrolled in her private and group lessons. A New Orleans native, Eboneé received both a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Music degree from the University of New Orleans, as well as a performer diploma in classical voice from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.
After completing her education, Eboneé was featured as a young artist with EPCASO, the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera. Through this program, Eboneé lived in Oderzo, Italy, where she received extensive Italian language training and coached repertoire and technique with Claudia Pinza, Maurizio Arena, and Enza Ferrari.
Eboneé has remained committed to her passion for operatic performance. She had appeared in roles such as: Monisha in Scott Joplin’s Treemonisha, First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Clarice de Noyan in William Grant Still’s Minette Fontaine, and Vi in Gershwin’s Blue Monday. She was also featured as both a soloist and chorister with the New Orleans Opera Association in their 2002 production of Porgy and Bess. She subsequently performed with the company as a chorister in their productions of Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana/I Pagliacci, and La Traviata. Eboneé has also appeared as a soprano soloist in Schubert Mass in G as well as Bach cantata 140 “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme.”
She has served on the voice faculties of Dillard University and Loyola University New Orleans teaching both classical and popular/commercial music. In addition to this, Eboneé also taught voice, piano, and music theory for years with Loyola University’s Preparatory Arts Program working with both children and adults.
Jonathan Hodges is an American multi-instrumentalist, teacher, and singersongwriter based in Dallas, Texas. For the past seven years, Jonathan has taught violin, guitar, and piano to children as young as two, and adults upwards of 50. With established experience as a concert violinist, improvisational pianist, and studio musician, Jonathan teaches from a unique vantage point. A firm believer that every student should be taught according to their individual qualities, Jonathan holds music to be an important facet in the upbringing and education of well-rounded individuals.
Beginning his undergraduate studies at Seattle University in 2015, Jonathan entered his freshman year as a Lockwood Scholar, gaining admittance to the prestigious University Honors Program. Upon completion of his first year, Jonathan was named sole finalist for the junior division of the Seattle University String Competition, and semi-finalist in the Don Bushell Concerto Competition. Shortly thereafter Jonathan transferred to Southern Methodist University. Jonathan graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2019 with a bachelor of music degree in violin performance, where he completed his studies with Diane Kitzman. His former teachers include Marla Feeney, Alexander Serafimov, Ivan Ženatý, Chee-Yun Kim, and Diane Kitzman. In addition to learning and performing established violin repertoire, Jonathan is known for his piano improvisation and is often employed at weddings, company parties, receptions, and private residences.
Given the many joys that accompany a life filled with music, Jonathan seeks to enrich the lives of his students through the realization and expression of musical, emotional, and intellectual potential.
